The IAPAM’s Aesthetic Medicine Symposium with Botox Cosmetic Training, is one of the very few Aesthetic Medicine/ Medical Spa training programs which is not operated or sponsored by equipment distributors, consultants or nurses.
The goal of the symposium is to give you all the information you need to immediately start adding Aesthetic Medicine and Botox Cosmetic procedures to your practice.
The IAPAM is the only provider of aesthetic medical training courses that has 5 board certified cosmetic dermatologists on its teaching faculty, ensuring the best possible education for the attendees.
Unlike other programs that say they have dermatologists or plastic surgeons on their faculty (who are often not at the actual training program), we actually list them on our faculty page.
Our Botulinum Toxin (Xeomin®, Dysport®, Botox®) training is done in a clean medical facility, not a hotel room.
Your cosmetic injectable training environment will be similar to your practice, since the injection technique for injecting a patient in a hotel room chair is much different, than a patient in a proper medical treatment table (chair).
The IAPAM offers the most comprehensive on-going support.
We also include a year of telephone/e-mail support for any medical spa or aesthetic practice questions.

Botulinum Toxins (i.e. Xeomin, Dysport, Botox) are one of the most competitive aesthetic procedures.

This Live activity, Aesthetic Medicine Symposium, is acceptable for up to 33.5 Prescribed credit(s) by the American Academy of Family Physicians.

CMEs are accepted as equivalent credits for physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants. Dentists should contact the ADA in their state to inquire about specific transferability of AAFP CMEs.

Currently, the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) does not offer board certification in Aesthetic Medicine. This is the only organization that is official able to designate “board certifications” in medicine in the United States.
When it does, we will work with them to offer official board certification to our members.
The ABMS currently states: “antiaging is not a medical specialty, according to the American Medical Association and the American Board of Medical Specialties (which puts the “board” in “board-certified”).”
The IAPAM does offer our exclusive Certified Aesthetic Provider™ (CAP) program, which can be used when insurance companies or state boards are requesting an annual “board-certification” in order to provide coverage for aesthetic medicine. This certification is also a good tool for you to use in your practice to demonstrate to patients that you are remaining current on your skills and training in aesthetic medicine from a trusted international organization and saves you time by keeping you up to date on the latest industry trends and training.
We use PCA Skin‘s chemical peel products and educators during the chemical peel portion of the training.
The education you will learn is transferable to all physician directed chemical peel product lines.
Absolutely, you will also learn some great tips and techniques on how to perform laser and light procedure patient consultations.
Yes, PAs can attend at the physician price (unless they are attending as an assistant to a physician, then they can pay the assistant price).
Licensed medical staff and practice/business managers can certainly attend with their supervising physicians.
If your supervising physician doesn’t attend, then you may attend at the regular physician price (based on availability). As well, we will need a letter of authorization from your Medical Director to attend in his or her place (assuming they are already trained in Aesthetics).

Not at all! So long as you are a physician, nurse practitioner or physician assistant with a current medical license, it does not matter what your specialty is, you are eligible to take our training!
