Our Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I choose to attend the IAPAM Aesthetic Medicine Symposium?
The IAPAM’s Aesthetic Medicine Symposium with Botox Cosmetic Training, is one of the very few Aesthetic Medicine/ Medical Spa training programs which is not operated or sponsored by equipment distributors, consultants or nurses. The goal of the symposium is to give you all the information you need to immediately start adding Aesthetic Medicine and Botox Cosmetic procedures to your practice.

The IAPAM is the only provider of aesthetic medical training courses that has 3 board certified cosmetic dermatologists on its teaching faculty, ensuring the best possible education for the attendees. Unlike other programs that say they have dermatologists or plastic surgeons on their faculty (who are often not at the actual training program), we actually list them on our faculty page.

Our Botulinum Toxin (Xeomin®, Dysport®, Botox®) training and dermal filler injection training is done in a clean medical facility, not a hotel room. Your cosmetic injectable training environment will be similar to your practice, since the injection technique for injecting a patient in a hotel room chair is much different, than a patient in a proper medical treatment table (chair).

The IAPAM offers the most comprehensive on-going support. We not only include a year of telephone/e-mail support for any medical spa or aesthetic practice questions, but all physician attendees will receive a Botox® & Dermal Fillers training DVD set for you and your clinical staff.  Members also gain access to the IAPAM Member Only social networking groups, including LinkedIn.

But, I only need Botox Training?
Botulinum Toxins (i.e. Xeomin, Dysport, Botox) are one of the most competitive aesthetic procedures. If you base your aesthetic practice or medical spa on offering only Botulinum Toxin injections, you are going to have a very hard time being profitable. By attending the Symposium, you are going to learn from an expert faculty on the right way to setup an aesthetic practice and how to choose the most profitable aesthetic procedures.

Incorporating Botulinum Toxins is certainly part of a successful practice, and we dedicate 3/4 of a day on the topic. However, you will also learn about much more profitable aesthetic procedures that have very little start-up costs. You can read more on this here: https://www.aestheticmedicinenews.com/the-secret-to-a-profitable-aesthetic-practice-or-medical-spa.htm

Why is it only held in Scottsdale, Arizona?
We feel it is critical that physicians adding aesthetics to their practice learn from true experts of the skin, and that is why we have board certified dermatologists who teach you about the skin and injectables. In addition, part of the program includes you visiting a successful medical spa practice where you can see first hand how the practice is setup, and how skin care lines are merchandized. Plus, we follow the FDA’s recommendation and do not have injections done in hotel rooms, but an actual medical practice. 100% of our attendees have said the Aesthetic Medicine Symposium was worth the time and money! more
